Dr. Joel Rodrigues, a KSU Visiting Professor working with CoEIA, has received the distinction of becoming an IEEE Fellow.

At its November 2019 meeting, the IEEE Board of Directors elevated Joel Rodrigues to IEEE Fellow, effective 1 January 2020, with the following citation: **For contributions to Internet of Things and vehicular communications.**

Recognizing the achievements of its members is an important part of the mission of the IEEE. The IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. Each year, following a rigorous evaluation procedure, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a select group of recipients for elevation to IEEE Fellow. The total number selected in any one year cannot exceed one-tenth of one percent of the total voting membership.

IEEE Fellow is the highest grade of membership and is recognized by the technical community as a prestigious honor.
